In an interesting tidbit, the NBA's New Orleans Hornets have been playing a sound clip of Ric Flair's signature "whooooo" when the Hornets score. Good times, good times.

Thanks to Ryan Arnold for sending along the following as well: "I live in Maine, and often go to see the Portland Pirates hockey games there. They are an AHL team, which is a major hockey league with team affiliations to the NHL. The sound people there also play a "whooo" when the Pirates score. I'm just saying this to show that the "whooo" is popular across all states and sports, although you probably didn't need me to say that."
