Former WWE President Jack Tunney Passes Away At Age Of 68

Former figurehead and acting "president" of WWE, Jack Tunney, passed away on Saturday at the age of 68. No word yet on the cause of death.

His funeral will take place today (Tuesday) at the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church in Toronto.

His obituary in the Toronto Star is as follows:

TUNNEY, John (Jack) _ Passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 24, 2004. Jack Tunney, beloved partner and best friend of Patricia Zownir. Jack was predeceased by his beloved wife Ann. Loving father of Jane and her husband Bill Tunstead and Jackie and her husband Dennis Gregoris. Adored grandfather of Samantha and Matthew Gregoris. Will be greatly missed by sisters Teresa McDonnell, Anna and her husband Harry O'Neill, brothers Jerry and his wife Renate, Murray and Peter and his wife Connie and Pat's boys Mark, Jeff and Chris Zownir. Predeceased by brother-in-law Frank McDonnell. Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (South of Eglinton Avenue East) from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. on Monday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from HOLY ROSARY ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, (354 St. Clair Avenue West) on Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at 10 o'clock. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill.
