WWE will spend $5 million in an ad campaign to promote WrestleMania, according to Dave Meltzer.

They will be doing local commercials, touring cities, a four page ad in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition and Entertainment Weekly's Oscar coverage, Mad Magazine, DC Comics, and more. Plus, there will be commercials on TBS, TNT, and the Cartoon Network, which was part of Turner's deal with WWE for buying WCW for such a low price. They had to buy advertising on the networks. Also, there will be a ton of ads in New York City, including billboard ads, ads on taxis, garbage cans, pizza boxes, and a WrestleMania display at Toys R Us in Times Square.
