There is a Japanese newspaper headline today stating that Bill Goldberg will fight at the 8/15 Pride show at the Saitama Super Arena. The article reports that President Nobuyuki Sakakibara claimed he wants to give it a shot and they'd like for him to fight within the year. Goldberg, who is friends with many in MMA including Frank Shamrock and Tito Ortiz, and is under contract to Pride, has seriously discussed the idea of fighting in the past. At 37 years old, Goldberg has always been advised against it, especially since he has no kickboxing or wrestling competition background. We have yet to confirm this as fact or fiction as of this report but will keep everyone updated as details become available.
