Sean O'Haire And Ultimo Dragon Return Tonight; More

By Richard Gray on May 3, 2004 at 12:11 AM EST

The following are a few notes for tonight's NJPW Tokyo Dome show involving Sean O'Haire and Ultimo Dragon:

Sean O'Haire told the Japanese press today that K-1 signed him as an assassin to take out Hiroshi Tanahashi, as they see him as a threat against their company and they want him out of the picture.

O'Haire revealed that if he succeeds in taking out Tanahashi, he would receive a nice bonus from K-1, but Tanahashi said that O'Haire would not succeed and he would mess up O'Haire's good looks.

Tanahashi said that O'Haire may be handsome in his own right, all of New Japan's female fans would be on his side and Tanahashi was insulted that O'Haire didn't ask for a U-30 Openweight Title match, as Tanahashi said that it is the "hottest title in Japan."

The Japanese press is pushing O'Haire as a big thing, "having beaten the first IWGP [League] king, Hulk Hogan", and also mentioning his WCW Tag Team Title reigns.

Ultimo Dragon will be in a six-man tag team match with Koji Kanemoto and American Dragon, against Heat, Tiger Mask, and Naomichi Marufuji.

I'll have results and complete details on O'Haire and Dragon's involvement on the show early tomorrow morning.
