If you are wondering why SmackDown has been more of a "1980s" style lately, it is the work of Bruce Prichard, who is a member for the brand's writing team. Prichard loves to the school style and feels that it is something different to try for the brand. He came up with the Undertaker's short Rest In Peace promo at Judgment Day as well as others.
