- The following tapings took place on Tuesday night in Cincinnati, OH:

Dark Match:
- Hardcore Holly defeated Carly Colon.

WWE Velocity Tapings (Air Date - July 31st):
- WWE Champion John Bradshaw Layfield defeated Shannon Moore.
- Mark Jindrak defeated Scotty 2 Hotty.
- Chavo Guerrero defeated Funaki.
- The FBI defeated The Basham Brothers.

WWE SmackDown Tapings (Air Date - July 29th):

- A promo aired recapping the events from last week between Vince McMahon, Kurt Angle and Eddie Guerrero.

- Booker T came out to start the show. He demanded the new GM come out and award him the WWE United States Title and honor Kurt Angle's promise from earlier. Kenzo Suzuki came out instead and said he deserved the title. Booker joked that he wanted the new GM to come out, not the owner of a sushi bar. Soon after, Rob Van Dam, Rene Dupree, Luther Reigns, Billy Gunn, Charlie Haas and John Cena all came out. Cena got on the mic and said the fans know who the real champion is. Vince McMahon came out and said only one man can decide who the champion should be: the new SmackDown General Manager Teddy Long! Long said one man deserves the title and that the new champion would be decided later tonight in an Eight Man Elimination Match.

- Spike Dudley defeated Rey Mysterio to become the NEW WWE Cruiserweight Champion.

During the match, D-Von Dudley ran out and distracted the referee as Spike was about to get the 619 from Mysterio. Bubba Ray hit the ring from the crowd and tripped up Mysterio, allowing Spike to hit the Dudley Dog for the win. Spike ended up apologizing to Mysterio after he realized the Dudley's helped him get the win.

- The new SmackDown GM Teddy Long was backstage with the SmackDown Divas. He promised they wouldn't be underutilized anymore and goes into his office. Inside, former GM Kurt Angle was packing up his stuff, but was informed Luther Reigns already did it for him. Long said Angle would be competing tonight, but Angle starts making excuses saying he didn't have his wrestling gear. Long said he would be fined $1,000 for not being prepared for work and that Angle will wrestle next week.

- Billy Kidman & Paul London defeated The Dudley Boyz to retain the WWE Tag Team Titles.

The match ended when Bubba Ray attempted to knock out Billy Kidman with a steel chair on the outside, but Rey Mysterio interfered and dropkicked it into Bubba. London pinned D-Von in the ring for the win.

- Footage was shown of Ivory interviewing Mick Foley at the Democratic National Convention.

- Eddie Guerrero came out to the ring in his lowrider with some stuff in the car covered. Guerrero invites Angle to come out to the ring as he reveals what is covered in his car - stolen items from Kurt's old GM office. Guerrero decides that he will auction off all the items on WWE.com. Angle still doesn't come out. He decides to use the picture of Angle & Heyman with a WWE Championship for a bathroom since it makes him want to go and will get his cousin to put hydraulics on Angle's wheelchair. Guerrero also draws a mustache and the words "I SUCK" on another picture of Angle. He then finds his Gold Medals and tries to auction them off for $1 to someone in Cincinnati. Angle finally comes out and said if he doesn't give him his stuff back, he will steal his lowrider. Guerrero warns him he has an anti-theft device in it. Angle gets inside, telling Guerrero nice try. He turns the key and gets powdered in the face. Guerrero then gets Angle's music played as the crowd sings along to the tune of "YOU SUCK" along with Guerrero.

- It was announced that Kurt Angle would be competing next week on SmackDown plus, Spike Dudley & Rey Mysterio would take on The Dudley Boyz.

- A JBL commercial aired showing his various accomplishments by playing football with a broken leg, going behind enemy lines to entertain troops and becoming the Mexican, Korean, European and WWE Champion. Said to be very funny.

- Booker T won an Eight Man Elimination Match to become the new WWE United States Champion.

- Kenzo Suzuki is DQed & eliminated after knocking out Cena with the US Title

The show ends with Booker T celebrating with the WWE United States Title.
