Undertaker and Edge were said to be noticeably agitated with their matches last night. Edge was booed loudly throughout his match. The fans did the wave and chanted "Spanish tables" during the Undertaker verses JBL WWE title match.
Edge was said to be dumbfounded by the reaction he got from his hometown crowd. Taker was quite upset with fan reactions for his match and felt "disrespected". This may be due to the lack of build up for the Taker/JBL match - in addition to JBL being put over by no one else but Eddie Guerrero. Some in the company felt that the only highly anticipated match from SmackDown was the Guerrero-Angle match.
Speaking of The Undertaker, there was a lot of talk of having John Heidenreich interfere in the WWE title match last night, costing Taker the championship. The word we got was that the feeling amongst writers is that Heidenreich is a little too green for such a big push, so they opted out of the angle.
There was much talk last night of a future angle being put together pinning Kurt Angle against The Undertaker for the WWE title. They are clearly the two power players of the show and some say they are the "Triple H's" of the SmackDown brand, in the sense that they pretty much run the locker room.
There was also talk of a Luther Reigns-Eddie Guerrero program taking place sometime down the line.
