WWE made the decision to "hotshot" the Evolution/Orton angle and the Kane/Lita wedding announcement as a response to the poor ratings and business. With Monday Night Football returning soon, the feeling is that WWE cannot prolong major angles and needs to reestablish interest in the product. WWE originally wanted to spend months building to the Evolution split and certainly would have liked to push the Kane/Lita wedding further than next week.
