Dark Matches
1. Shelton Benjamin over Chuck Palumbo in street clothes. Bad.
Heat Matches
2. Rodney Mack with Jazz over Rosey
3. Chris Jericho over Steven Richards by submission. A jobber came out first and then was told to go back.
4. Maven over that jobber
The upper bowl on the TV side, as well as the nosebleeds on all four corners of the arena were tarped off. This may have contributed to better crowd control that they had, since the debacle at February's No Way Out with people not getting in until well after the show had started. This show was sparse and way down from that show.
Justin Roberts replaced Howard Finkle.
Evolution, as usual, got a huge face pop coming out, but Randy Orton did as well.
A rotund gentleman who had been loitering since the beginning of the show, got into an altercation with security (this was ringside section A) over tickets. This distracted many people during the La Resistance match. Eventually, four cops took him out of the arena, and everyone resumed booing Coach.
A thing or two on the Diva search segment. Three sh-ts, a few choice words about penises, and something I can't even repeat here was disgusting and absurd. Entirely tasteless, but where exactly do you think the women got the idea that this was an expensive step up from porn, besides from WWE? Not to excuse their lack of class. If it wasn't bad enough, there are still tons of kids that go to these shows, and if the content for them isn't acceptable, it needs to be stated beforehand. I realize that the WWE didn't have direct control over what came out of these trashy women's mouths, but they are responsible, direct control or not, for things that happen in their ring, in front of a crowd, and on TV. How is a segment with Linda McMahon, Ivory, and Shawn Michaels supposed to be treated as any more than a joke when the first time they did the segment at the DNC last month, the women were dancing for a derogatory depiction of an African, and this time they curse with little regard to decency and decorum as WWE tries to persuade the world that they are trying to be a good influence on the youth of America.
The end of the Benoit match fell flat with the crowd, as one would expect.
Before the Highlight Reel, the Big Show's music was accidently and briefly played.
The reaction to Edge was mixed, but his promo definitely turned him heel.
Nothing newsworthy happened after the show ended. Evolution took Triple H back and Eugene and Orton celebrated for awhile.
