- The original plan for the main event for tonight's PPV was for John Heidenreich to interfere and cost the Undertaker the match. An Undertaker/Heidenreich feud was in talks before and it is uncertain if WWE will continue with its previous plan. Those backstage are pushing the Undertaker to win so that the title will be taken off John "Bradshaw" Layfield.

- WWE is expecting for Kurt Angle and Eddie Guerrero to carry their matches but feel that Angle will have a harder time since he is not at his peak.

- Tonight, Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio will be tested out to since how good their in-ring chemistry is. If all goes good, the two are expected to become a tag team once again.
