- Sources backstage in WWE describe the mood at Armageddon as one full of tension and paranoia. One source said "It's very tense backstage right now, as everyone sees the place falling apart and all the wrong moves being made to correct it."
- Paul Heyman was not in the house tonight at Armageddon, and there was a lot of discussion about the comments he made in recent interviews promoting the ECW DVD. The interviews were set up by WWE prior to Heyman being removed from the Smackdown writing team, and Heyman commented on the situation in some of the interviews.
- The cruiserweights in WWE are said to be especially frustrated with Heyman being removed from booking on Smackdown. The frustration of Chano Guerrero boiled over on Tuesday's Smackdown tapings, when he exchanged heated words with The Big Show in the dressing room. Apparently, this lead to Chavo getting in Big Show's face, then Big Show pushing him across the room. Others backstage quickly got between them before the situation got any worse.
