Former WWE and WCW Champion Hulk Hogan showed up backstage at the SmackDown tapings on Tuesday. Hogan lives in the Tampa area and stopped by to say hi. No word on if he spoke with Vince McMahon about a spot at WrestleMania, but his presence backstage was definitely known by everyone. Sources close to the situation have told us that Vince and Hogan have scheduled a meeting to talk about the Hulkster taking part in this year's WrestleMania.
Rob Van Dam has been working with a severely sore knee recently. It has gotten to the point where he may indeed require surgery to fix the injury. Van Dam is as tough as they come and really isn't one to milk an injury with management, but we can expect him to take some time off in the very near future to heal that knee.
WWE has contacted former ECW wrestler Super Crazy about joining the company. Paul Heyman contacted Crazy about coming in while he was on the creative team. Heyman pitched an idea to McMahon where Crazy would align himself with The Big Show and take on the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Unfortunately, Crazy suffered a hand injury a few weeks ago and only wants to come in to WWE when he feels he is 100% so that he can make the best impression possible. We're told WWE is still very interested in him and are eagerly anticipating his arrival.
