As previously reported here, Vince McMahon and Steve Austin are scheduled to meet today in Los Angeles for the press conference to announce that Austin has signed a three-picture movie deal with WWE Films.

The press conference kicks off at noon Pacific Time at the LA Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood and is open to everyone. This deal between WWE and Austin allows Steve to use his 'Stone Cold" name. It also puts him in a position of working with people that have a ready-made audience for his films and will treat him like a star.

It gives WWE a star to market to their fans, and also will make it possible to get Austin on WWE programming from time to time. As long as the films make a little money, it's a great move for both sides.

Both Vince and Steve will be in studio today from 5 to 6 pm for Los Angeles' McDonnell/Douglas show on ESPN Radio 710. The interview is expected to be a good one, as the hosts have good knowledge of wrestling. Austin and McMahon will also be on Fox Sportsnet's 'Best Damn Sports Show Period" tonight as well.
