TSN President Phil King spoke with Slam! Wrestling about the possibility of the network dropping WWE RAW in favor of Monday Night Football in 2006. "It's far too early to comment or determine the impact this will have on TSN's broadcast schedule. It's a year-and-a-half down the road - Monday Night Football on ESPN doesn't begin until September 2006," said King. "We're evaluating all our options and will create the best schedule possible for our viewers."
It appears that TSN will begin airing Monday Night Football once the series officially moves to ESPN in 2006 after a 36 season run on ABC. For those unaware, ESPN is the minority owner of TSN and all NFL programming that has aired on ESPN (mainly on Sunday night's) is run on TSN at the same time. It should be noted that a strong source in TSN recently stated that although the newspaper report was the first to report any news regarding the situation, it still should be taken under consideration as something that could very well happen.
Well that's really terrible news. Terrible because the NFL doesn't even have a Canadian Team. lol.
