WGN Superstation out of Chicago, IL announced today that they will not be picking up TNA Wrestling for a rumored Monday night timeslot. The station's webmaster sent out e-mails earlier today confirming this after fans had wrote the station requesting information.
In addition, those in WGN's programming department confirmed the same information, although declined to comment on what exactly caused negotiations to end between both parties without a deal being reached. There is also no confirmation as to whether TNA or WGN were the ones to walk away from the deal at hand. So, at this point, TNA will be exploring other television outlets for a possible TV deal with WGN no longer an option. The company is currently approaching three weeks with no TV after their deal expired with Fox Sports Net in late May following a 52 week agreement.
I still say TNA will be on Spike TV.
