In an effort to beef up the card for the debut edition of SmackDown on Friday night's starting September 9th, WWE.com has announced some additional matches that will be taking place on the show in addition to the previously announced SummerSlam rematch between Batista and JBL for the World Heavyweight Title. Here are some of the matches confirmed for the show as of today:

World Heavyweight Championship Match
- Batista (c) vs. John Bradshaw Layfield.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match
- Road Warrior Animal & Heidenreich (c's) vs. MNM.

- Rey Mysterio vs. Eddie Guerrero.
