- Kurt Angle is not pleased with management's decision to put him in a triple threat match at WrestleMania 22 for his title. He has no problem with Rey Mysterio, but was looking forward to a classic one-on-one match and does not feel that he can achieve that in a three-way match.

- Before her injury, WWE developmental diva Angel Williams was scheduled to debut on SmackDown! as part of the JBL/Jillian Hall storyline. The plan was to have Hall return without the mole and manage someone who is feuding with JBL. However, Vince McMahon decided to keep Hall in her current role due to liking her performance when The Boogeyman bit off her mole. There is still a possibility of WWE going back to the Williams angel when she heals from her injury.
