WWE.com just posted the following… WWE has come to an agreement on the release of Goldust (Dustin Runnels) as of today, June 14, 2006. WWE wishes Dustin the best in all future endeavors.

Although we do not know why Goldust was released, the timing is odd, considering that WWE just released a 3 DVD set commemorating the career of his father, Dusty Rhodes. Dusty is currently a member of the WWE creative team. Goldust had been doing work as a tag team with Snitsky in the RAW tag division, most of the time airing on Heat.
