The following is an excerpt from an article in the Daily Star, featuring comments from UFC president Dana White:

"I have a three o'clock conference call with Angle this afternoon. Lesnar would be interesting but I do think it would be very hard for anyone from pro-wrestling to make the jump into UFC right now."

  • Brock Lesnar makes his MMA debut for the K-1/Elite XC "Dynamite!" show which airs partially on Showtime and partially on live pay-per view, June 2nd at the LA Coliseum in California. Lesnar will take on kickboxing star from Korea, Choi Hong-Man. Lesnar told MMANews.com in an exclusive interview, quote: "I have a one fight deal with K-1" so the possibility of UFC president Dana White snagging the former NCAA amateur wrestling champion are better than one would think. The other sticking point many bring up is UFC's 265 lb. weight limit for their Heavyweight class. Lesnar told MMANews.com, "Actually, I finished my workout today at 268" (down from over 300 pounds) so making the weight limit wouldn't be an issue.

We'll see where things go from here. Keep your eyes locked onto MMANews.com for continued updates on the status of Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar in mixed-martial arts.
