The following is a quote from a recent UFC press conference where company president Dana White talked again about the possibility of Kurt Angle making the transition into MMA fighting:
"I talked to Kurt Angle recently but not Brock Lesnar," Dana White said. "I think [Angle] needs to work on his MMA. He'll get destroyed by any of these guys. He's a nice guy, and I like him, but I'll tell it like it is. I think he's going to get destroyed if he comes in and fights with the UFC. Because he's a gold medal wrestler, I respect him for that, but he's been in the WWE for a long time. You just don't jump from the WWE to MMA."
Brock Lesnar made his MMA debut on June 2nd, winning via early first round stoppage from strikes against Judo specialist Min Soo Kim.
Kurt Angle continues to give the impression he's seriously considering an MMA match at some point in his career. We'll see where things go.
