A trademark dispute is currently going on between WWE and Harman International over the name "JBL." Harman is claiming that they have trademarked JBL as a brand of electronics after their founder James Bullough Lansing.

In 2005 WWE attempted to get four trademarks for JBL. Harman currently holds twenty trademarks containing parts of the name.
