Jerry "The King" Lawler was officially served with court papers notifying him that Sal Corrente has filed assault charges against him. Lawler is due to report to court on August 1st to respond to the charges.

Since the incident happened, Lawler has brushed it off, even making a storyline out of it in Memphis Wrestling by bringing in former Memphis-area manager Scott Bowden and making it seem as if Corrente had called upon him to "go after" Lawler.
