Video: Cody Rhodes Tries Moonsault Off Top of a Cage on Kurt Angle

Northeast Wrestling held their Wrestlefest XXI event last night in Waterbury, CT and it featured a lot of familiar names:

– Kurt Angle vs. Cody Rhodes in a steel cage
– Jerry Lawler
– The Godfather
– Ryback
– Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis

Kurt Angle vs. Cody Rhodes

This match was billed as Kurt Angle’s “final independent appearance” before joining the WWE Hall of Fame. One cool spot was Cody Rhodes trying a moonsault onto Angle off the top of a steel cage. He missed and Angle hit him with an Angle Slam. Cody Rhodes ended up winning the match after Angle put him in an ankle lock but Cody escaped then rolled Angle up for the win.

Jerry Lawler and Bull Dredd defeated Cam Zagami and Romeo Roselli – Lawler made a surprise appearance. Godfather came out after the match to celebrate with Lawler.
