More Details on Brandi Rhodes’ Departure from GFW

As previously reported, Brandi Rhodes was reported to have left Global Force Wrestling based on recent updates made by GFW to the roster page of Impact Wrestling’s website.

According to this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the official reason for her departure was due to Brandi currently working on a non-wrestling television show in Atlanta, Georgia and GFW was unwilling to cooperate with her plans, reportedly wanting a cut of her money despite her getting the role on the show on her own. Her debut with Ring of Honor was also revealed to be due to ROH being more willing to cooperate on this television show.

ITV Still Committed to Plans for World of Sport Wrestling Show

ITV is reported to still be committed to plans for their new World of Sport wrestling show, according to this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported even though no new developments have been made for the project, ITV is still targeting a late 2017 as a launch for the revival of World of Sport.

Previously, ITV had to drop plans for tv tapings in May and a possible Fall 2017 launch date after running into last minute production issues and disagreements with GFW. It was reported some of the contracted wrestlers with ITV had started to look at options to get out of their deals and sign with the WWE and other wrestling companies instead.
