August 23, 2017
Brooklyn, NY – Barclays Center
Commentary: Mauro Ranallo, Nigel McGuinness, Percy Watson

Segment: No Way Jose and Lars Sullivan

No Way Jose’s music hit and he came out and started a conga line with the crowd, but Lars Sullivan suddenly came out and attacked him from behind while he was dancing on the entrance ramp. Sullivan then destroyed him in the ring and got a lot of heel heat from the crowd. Lars Sullivan has a great look.

Backstage, Johnny Gargano was disappointed about his loss at TakeOver, but said that this is far from the end of Johnny Wrestling.

Backstage: Asuka

Asuka was interviewed after her match at TakeOver and vowed to remain NXT Women’s Champion.

Backstage Interview: Pete Dunne and Wolfgang

Pete Dunne said that as soon as he won the UK title, the division became stronger. Wolfgang then said that after they win tonight, he wants a title shot. Dunne told him to not get too far ahead of himself.

Peyton Royce (w/ Billie Kay) defeated Sarah Logan

Peyton Royce and Billie Kay were very over with the crowd. Peyton won with a bridging fisherman suplex.

Backstage: Bobby Roode

Backstage, Bobby Roode was furious after his loss at TakeOver. Roderick Strong suddenly appeared, smiled, and said he would see Roode soon.

Roode was then interviewed “earlier today” and said that though he debuted on SmackDown Live, he never leaves unfinished business. He said he wasn’t finished with Roderick Strong, and when he’s done with him, he’s going to get his title back from Drew McIntyre. Alright.

Backstage: Aleister Black

After TakeOver, Black was shown walking in a parking garage while people tried to interview him, but he ignored everyone.

Wolfgang and Pete Dunne defeated Tyler Bate and Trent Seven

The crowd gave huge pops to Bate and Dunne. This was a very good match and was sort of a “light” version of the incredible match between Dunne and Bate at the last TakeOver. They did a lot of the same big spots, including Bate doing the helicopter spin on Dunne. Bate hit the Tyler Driver 97 on Dunne and went for the pin, but didn’t realize Dunne had just tagged in Wolfgang, who was the legal man. Wolfgang then hit a swanton bomb off the top rope onto Bate for the win.
