Various: Sin Cara Signs New Deal, Don Callis Coming to Impact?

Sin Cara Signs New Deal

Sin Cara has signed a new multi-year deal with WWE, according to PWInsider, which is likely why he’s been back on TV lately. Sin Cara will be facing Baron Corbin again tonight on SmackDown.

Impact / Don Callis

There are rumors that Impact Wrestling will soon bring in Don Callis, who currently does English color commentary for NJPW. Callis has denied that he’s leaving NJPW, but hasn’t denied that he may end up in Impact soon, PWInsider is reporting. However, he has reportedly not yet received a contract from Impact, so nothing is finalized yet. PWInsider says that their source indicated that if Callis doesn’t start with Impact by the November tapings, he would likely be there by January.

When Impact management visited Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan a few weeks ago, they also visited New Japan and Scott D’Amore mentioned to the NJPW locker room that Impact would love to work with NJPW and that Don Callis would be coming to work with them soon. NJPW knows that Impact wants to work with them badly, but are focused on working with Ring of Honor, according to PWInsider.

Don Callis is perhaps best known for his time in ECW as “Cyrus the Virus” as both a manager and color commentator, and his time in WWE in the late 90s as a manager known as “The Jackal.”
