Shayna Baszler defeated Dakota Kai via referee stoppage after one minute, then choked her out until Ember Moon made the save.

Lars Sullivan defeated Lio Rush in a squash, then called out Killian Dain, then attacked Rush again.

Backstage: Undisputed Era attacked SAnitY.

NXT Tag Team Championship: Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly (c) defeated Aleister Black & Roderick Strong. Adam Cole ran in, which distracted Black and allowed for the pin on Strong. William Regal then booked Adam Cole vs. Aleister Black in an Extreme Rules match at NXT TakeOver in Philadelphia.

Andrade “Cien” Almas defeated Kassius Ohno in a non-title match.


January 17

Riddick Moss & Tino Sabbatelli defeated Heavy Machinery

Lacey Evans defeated Aliyah. After the match, Shayna Baszler came out and chased off Lacey, then attacked Aliyah until Ember Moon made the save again. Backstage, William Regal booked a women’s title match between Ember Moon and Baszler at TakeOver.

Roderick Strong defeated Fabian Aichner. After the match, Strong said he wanted a match with Lars Sullivan.

In-Ring: Johnny Gargano came out and said he’ll challenge Velveteen Dream next week, putting his #1 contendership on the line to prove that he isn’t a fluke, and the winner will face Almas at TakeOver.

The Authors of Pain defeated Street Profits to become the #1 contenders for the tag titles, facing Undisputed Era at TakeOver.


January 24

No Way Jose defeated Cezar Bononi

Bianca Belair defeated Luscious Latasha, a local “enhancement talent”

The Authors of Pain destroyed two local wrestlers before the match started, then said they would do the same to Undisputed Era at TakeOver.

Johnny Gargano defeated Velveteen Dream to retain his #1 contender spot. After the match, Andrade Almas attacked Gargano, but Gargano eventually got the upper hand and raised the title up as the tapings ended.
