WWE is currently reported to be expanding the length of all their pay-per-view events starting with next month’s Money in the Bank event, according to the Wrestling Observer.
The Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported WWE recently notified pay-per-view providers of upcoming changes for their events going forward with the biggest being all non-Big Four events will now be four hours long and traditional Big Four events will be five hours long. All regular pay-per-view events were also reported to now be starting at 7PM EST while the Big Four events will start at 6PM EST beginning with this year’s SummerSlam. Baring over-runs, all WWE events are still scheduled to end by 11PM EST.
At the moment, it is not known if the pre-show for events will be scrapped or possibly be changed in length to accommodate these new changes.
