Hulk Hogan Reinstated Into Hall of Fame; Returning to WWE?

WWE announced that Hulk Hogan has been reinstated into the WWE Hall of Fame…

Hulk Hogan reinstated into WWE Hall of Fame

STAMFORD, Conn. — After a three-year suspension, Hulk Hogan has been reinstated into the WWE Hall of Fame. This second chance follows Hogan’s numerous public apologies and volunteering to work with young people, where he is helping them learn from his mistake. These efforts led to a recent induction into the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Alumni Hall of Fame.

This has obviously lead to speculation that Hogan’s return to WWE is imminent. WWE has been in talks with Hogan for a while and they’ve been looking for a chance to bring him back under the right circumstances and without any public or advertiser backlash. They were reportedly close to bringing him in for April’s Greatest Royal Rumble after members of the Saudi royal family specifically asked for him. That event triggered more dialog between the two sides, with TMZ reporting in May that “plans to bring Hulk Hogan back to the squared circle are currently underway.”

A WWE source has now told the Observer that “Hogan is back,” without elaborating on anything else.

Interestingly, Hulk Hogan was spotted flying into Cleveland last night with Jimmy Hart. Extreme Rules tonight is in Pittsburgh, which is a two hour drive away. Raw tomorrow is in Buffalo, which is three hours away.

There’s speculation that Hogan could be part of tonight’s show and flew into Cleveland to “throw people off the scent,” since flying directly into Pittsburgh could maybe be too obvious. Hogan and Hart do not have any publicly announced events coming up in the Cleveland area, according to PWInsider.

Hogan was removed from the Hall of Fame and fired by WWE in 2015 after being recorded on camera making racist comments. Since then, WWE has said, “We have had discussions with Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan) about how he can help others learn from his mistakes.”
