The Undertaker vs. Big Show cage match from Albany, NY on the December 5th edition of Smackdown scored a 2.6 rating, which is the highest rated quarter hour in the history of MyNetworkTV.
The Los Angeles Times has turned in a negative review for The Wrestler. Kenneth Turan states in the review, “While the director was essential in collaborating with Rourke to create that memorable performance, it remains real work in an essentially fake film, and there is nothing anyone can do about that.” You can read the full review at LATimes.com.
Elizabeth Weitzman of The New York Daily News gave The Wrestler 4 out of 5 stars.
The New York Post scored the film 3½ out of 4 stars.
Rafer Guzman of New York Newsday gave the film 3½ stars, and commented that while Rourke is getting much deserved Oscar buzz, not to forget about Marisa Tomei.
The New York Times also reviewed the film. They didn’t give out a rating, and compared to other reviews, weren’t as complimentary.

WEDNESDAY MORNING SITE NOTE:: We got snow with a little sleet/freezing rain last night and this morning here in Albany. NY which is good news as far as site work and power outages are concerned. The power in the office is working fine this morning although there is a good 4 inches or more of sleet/snow outside since last night at midnight. As noted yesterday, it doesn’t end here though as there is a major storm expected here Friday/Saturday and then AGAIN on Sunday/Monday. Usually we have no power problems in the office with only snow but when the freezing rain and ice comes, it can get dicey. Once again, we’ll be here as we are able to be. I will keep you posted on the latest but if there is no news once again for a day or so, that is the reason why. I’m just warning you ahead of time if anything happens. It’s been brutal here in Albany over the past month or so. Those pictures the other day did not do it justice with the amount of trees and power lines that were down everywhere you looked.
