Orton vs. Cena Confirmed, ‘Mania 25 Microsite, Cena, Y2J, More

One week before WrestleMania, a Raw/ECW house show will be held at the Dodge Arena in Hidalgo, Texas and John Cena is advertised to defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton in the main event. Mike Vendely sent in the following… Just thought this was sort of mentionable. WWE has said in the past that there will be a micro site for WM25. If you type into your browser wm25.wwe.com it takes you to wrestlemania25.com and says test page, so apparently they will go through with it since they bought the domain name.

WWE will be returning to the Staples Center on Friday, February 13 for a Raw/ECW house show. Matches advertised for the event include John Cena vs. Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio vs. Randy Orton, Matt Hardy vs. Jack Swagger for the ECW Championship, and Shawn Michaels (with JBL) vs. Kane.

As noted earlier, WWE pulled Chris Jericho and Jeff Hardy off this past weekend’s house shows to sell last week’s angles for television. In Jericho’s case, he was scheduled to wrestle John Cena for the World Heavyweight Championship at the shows. Hardy was also scheduled to appear at an automobile convention last Friday, but was pulled in favor of Shelton Benjamin.
