The TNA iMPACT! rating was actually a 1.33. That number was rounded down to a final 1.3 cable rating. The series’ previous ratings record was a 1.24. The official viewership of the episode was 1.9 million. That is another record. Congrats to TNA!
As reported earlier, rumors were going around at No Way Out that Hulk Hogan had spoken to Vince McMahon about appearing at WrestleMania this year. Hogan appeared on the Bubba the Love Sponge show today as we noted earlier to discuss the rumors. Hogan said that he had spoken with McMahon last weekend about appearing on the show. He said that they talked for a while but didn’t come up with a scenario for Hogan to appear on the show at this time. He implied that the door was still open for a Hogan appearance and he said that if he worked the show, it’s possible he would donate some or all of his payoff to John Graziano, who his son Nick put in dire straits after a car accident. He seemed to act as if he wouldn’t be working WrestleMania. Note from Ryan Clark: I’d expect this to be a work of sorts. Lets be honest – the guy is not in the best financial shape these days and this would be a HUGE pay day. This is just classic Hogan here trying to ‘work’ the ‘net and ‘smart’ fans if you ask me. I could be wrong but that’s the feeling I get.
