Oba Femi Comments on Potential Future Match with Brock Lesnar
This past January’s WWE Royal Rumble 2026 event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia featured Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar having a brief encounter during their time together in the Men’s Royal Rumble match that led to Lesnar eliminating Femi. Lesnar recently issued and challenge for an open challenge match at this April’s WrestleMania 42 event which has led to online speculation of Femi being the potential opponent.
TV Insider held a recent interview with Femi. One of the topics discussed included Femi’s thoughts about the comparisons made by fans between him and Lesnar and his interest in having a potential match with Lesnar in the future.
“What a run for him. He had two separate runs, and they’ve both been fantastic. It would be really cool to face him. I know the fans have been asking for that match. It’s going to happen one day soon. What a run he has had the UFC champion, multiple time WWE champion, Royal Rumble winner, dominance. What a way to cap it off by facing ‘The Ruler.’”
Femi also gave his thoughts about how he has been adjusting to WWE’s main roster since his recent call-up from the NXT brand.
“There is a lot more traveling on the main roster. A way bigger audience and platform. I’m glad that everything I was able to do over at NXT happened. I was able to translate to the main roster effortlessly, seamlessly. The crowd has been behind me. They know my schtick. They know what I do. ‘The Ruler’ is here to stay on the main roster.”
