ECW Rating Is In, What Happened After ECW, Extreme Rules Update
After ECW went off the air last night, Tommy Dreamer grabbed the ECW Title, handed it to Christian and they hugged. As Christian’s music played, Dreamer left the ring, stopping on his way to the back, waved to the crowd and bowed to the ring. With his WWE contract ending soon, this may be the last time Dreamer gets to perform in Madison Square Garden.
If the Denver Nuggets win tonight, they will eliminate the New Orleans Hornets from the NBA playoffs. That would mean that WWE would not have any conflicts with the scheduled Extreme Rules PPV on June 7th. If the Hornets manage to stay in the playoffs and go on, WWE has the Lakefront Arena at the University of New Orleans as their backup plan for the event.
Last night’s edition of ECW on Sci-Fi scored a 1.17 cable rating. WWE has seen a decline on all shows over the last week.
