Pre-Show Arrivals

We get Superstar Arrivals for some of the major players going into tonight’s–I mean today’s–episode of Raw.

In-Ring: Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn

From there we head to ringside as we are kicking things off with an appearance from Roman Reigns!

The World Heavyweight Champion gets a warm reception as he makes his way to the ring, while commentary hypes up the men’s Crown Jewel Championship between Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn this weekend. Reigns enters the ring, raising his title up to a shot of pyro from the stage. He gets “OTC” chants from the crowd after retrieving a microphone from ringside. He calls it funny that everyone wants the OTC’s attention, while the fans are the only ones he wants attention from.

He talks about the “secondary champion” Sami Zayn trying to run things, and the “biggest haters of them all” the 946 trying to get up in his Bloodline for a hot minute. He addresses his family beating the 946, but can’t continue as Sami Zayn makes his way out. There are some fans singing along with his theme, but it’s mostly boos from the crowd once he starts to speak.

Sami calls it crazy that his attention is focused on the 946, when they have a match against each other four days away. He talks about what he had to say last week and acknowledges that Roman wasn’t there, before saying we can do this like men, family to family, champion to champion so he can say what he needs to say directly to Reigns in person.

Roman has a laugh at this, saying it’s confusing because family don’t run their mouths about each other. He says that Sami had the biggest benefit from the Bloodline, claiming Sami wouldn’t have still been in the company or been champion by now. He says that when he found Sami, he was just “Johnny Knoxville’s little b—h” doing “Jack— things.” Sami responds by saying that everyone remembers that match at WrestleMania 38, whereas nobody remembers the match Roman had that night.

He says nobody can take away the fact that he is the WWE Champion, and that he’s not going to let Roman talk about the 946 or anyone else when he deserves Roman’s attention and respect. Roman mocks this, running Sami Zayn down before claiming this is his final week on the island of relevancy. He says nobody is going to remember Sami when he’s beaten him at Crown Jewel, and ends things by telling Brooklyn to acknowledge HIM. He stares Sami down as his music hits, before leaving the ring.

Video: Chad Gable, “All Ego” Ethan Page

Commentary talks about what went down before turning their attention to the Intercontinental Championship match for tonight, with a video package looking at the collision course Ethan Page and Chad Gable are set to go on. Matter of fact…we are kicking off the in-ring action with this very match!

We head to ringside as Ethan Page makes his entrance first before we go to commercial.

WWE Intercontinental Championship
“All Ego” Ethan Page vs. Chad Gable (c)

The feed in the States caught the last like, three words of whatever promo Page was cutting during break…and then we get Chad Gable coming to ringside getting a decent reaction from the crowd (except for the one kid in the front row actively giving him a thumbs down). Gable gets in the ring and man, this crowd is quiet…at least we get into ring introductions for both men to get this match underway!

Gable immediately takes the challenger down to the mat for some right hands, before Page breaks free. He targets the neck of the champ before bringing him to his feet, launching him into the corner with a hammer throw. Elbow to the back of the neck by Page, who lands a forearm to follow before driving him into the ropes for extra damage. He slams the champ against the turnbuckle and takes him to the adjacent corner, propping Gable up on the turnbuckle.

Gable manages to fight back, taking All Ego to the mat before going for a moonsault. Page rolls out of the way, but gets taken over the top rope to the outside by the champ, slamming against the barricade as we go to a commercial break.

We come back just as Gable gets a diving cross body on Page for two, catching him with a couple more close calls before the challenger fights back for a big boot to get a nearfall of his own. Chinlock by the challenger, but Gable fights to his feet for a a couple chops and sends Page to the ropes for a knee to the gut. Side legsweep takes All Ego crashing to the canvas. The fight makes its way to the corner, where Gable catches the challenger by surprise before slamming his leg against the ring post.

Gable goes after the leg some more, setting Page up for a couple legwhips into the ropes. German suplex by the champ and he holds the grip for two more, only for Page to stop him while pulling off a turnbuckle cover. He drives Gable into the ropes, only for Chad to fire back with an ankle lock. Page manages to force a break before leaving the ring, only to be sent crashing onto the announce table with an Angle Slam from Gable!

Gable brings his challenger back into the ring for a moonsault, but Page kicks out at two. He leaves the ring, forcing the champ to follow him…where he traps Gable by sending him face first into the barricade. He keeps this up by sending Chad over the barricade into the timekeeper area before we go to break.

We come back as Gable takes Page to the mat for a two count. He struggles, favoring his neck as he goes back up top for a diving headbutt…right into the boot of Ethan Page! Page gets a nearfall for this before both men fight back to their feet. Spinning forearm by Gable lets him set up for a Chaos Theory, but it only gets him a two as Gable’s neck bridge gives out on him. This gives Page an opening for a Twist of Fate for a nearfall of his own. Page goes after the champ once more, but Chad’s got an ankle lock cinched in!

Page tries to fight out of it but Gable keeps it on tight…until Page gets to the ropes for a break. Page is up on the turnbuckle as Chad goes after him, but the challenger drops him with an avalanche power slam of sorts for a two count. He sends the champ to the opposite corner for a superlex, but Gable fends him off. Sunset powerbomb connects, but Page kicks out at two…only for Gable to get the ankle lock again!

Page rolls through, sending Gable face first into the exposed turnbuckle before spinning him around for an Egoplex for the win!

Winner: “All Ego” Ethan Page via Pinfall to become the new WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Page celebrates.

Video: Liv Morgan, Chelsea Green, Judgement Day, Tiffany Stratton, IYO SKY

From there we look back at what happened on SmackDown, from Liv Morgan confronting Chelsea Green to a cash-in attempt by Tiffany Stratton and the involvement of IYO SKY when Judgment Day tried to play the numbers game.

Six-Woman Tag Team Match
Judgment Day (Roxanne Perez, Raquel Rodriguez, & Liv Morgan) vs. Chelsea Green, Tiffany Stratton & IYO SKY

We start things off with Stratton and Perez trading offense, with Roxanne taking Tiffy to the ropes only to be knocked back with a dropkick. Raquel with a tag in, but is sent to the ropes by Tiffany who tags in Green. Rodriguez fights back before tagging in Liv for some shots, and Rodriguez is back in just as quickly. Chelsea sends all three of the Judgment Day to the outside, with Stratton landing a dive on Perez before IYO gets the drop on Liv and Raquel as we go to commercial.

Judgment Day back in control as Raquel drops SKY with a body slam. Chinlock by Rodriguez, but SKY breaks free before being sent back down by Raquel…only to roll out of her way on an elbow drop! Raquel keeps her from making a tag, knocking Green off the apron. IYO fights back by countering out of a pin attempt for a double stomp. Morgan with a tag but so in comes Stratton as well, who drops Liv to the mat before hitting a Swanton Bomb for a close two count. Tag made to Rodriguez, who catches Tiffy with a body slam before bringing her to the corner for a twisted Vader Bomb…but Tiffy rolls out of the way! Tags made to Chelsea and Roxanne, with Green sending Perez to the corner.

Roxanne catches Green with Pop Rocks, but IYO breaks up the pin attempt. Chaos ensues with all six women until Green drops Roxanne with the Unprettier…only for Raquel to pull her out of the ring to break the pin attempt! The fight spills to the outside where Liv lays out IYO before getting a blind tag. She gets hit with a superkick by Green.

She brings Morgan back into the ring, but a distraction from Rodriguez leads to the WWE Women’s Champion being hit with Oblivion as the Women’s World Champion gets the win for her team!

Winner: Judgement Day via Pinfall.

Judgment Day celebrates.

Backstage: 946

We get another message from the 946 ahead of our main event between Solo Sikoa and Royce Keys.

In-Ring: John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton

We head to ringside where something resembling a title belt is covered up on a pedestal inside the ring…and out comes John Cena to a big pop from the Brooklyn crowd. He runs down to the ring, clearly not losing a step since retirement as we start to get an announcement. He calls for Alicia Taylor to come in to do things the right way, as we get the rundown on Cena being the Greatest of All Time, the Unseen Seventeen, celebrating with each and everyone of the fans in Brooklyn here tonight.

Cena wastes little time here, acknowledging the crowd before talking about THREE big announcements tonight for the upcoming John Cena Classic. First, the where and when. Mark your calendars: December 14th…we are going to Disney World! For the first time we are having two Raws on one Monday! First there will be a live Raw from Perth, and later that night in a special John Cena Classic show we will be live from Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

Now, for the what…as in, what in the hell is that (the thing covered up)? He goes on to unveil a brand-new championship for the upcoming event, looking a lot like the old WWE spinner belt of old, to what sounds like mostly a good reaction from the fans.. He says the championship represents everything he’s ever been about, including hustle, loyalty, and respect, and how the power of the vote will live within Club WWE (garnering a smattering of boos from the crowd).

With that, he has one more announcement…the who, as in who will be in the John Cena Classic. There can only be one first-ever entrant, and the music is the first thing to tell us that Cody Rhodes is entering the John Cena Classic. Rhodes makes his way to the ring to a big pop from the crowd. Cena says that the first entrant sets the pace, and notes that he will be at NXT and more Raw to announce more entrants. He’ll even be at Survivor Series to get things going for the Classic.

He acknowledges the remarks he made about Cody not being able to carry the weight of being WWE’s QB1, admitting that he was wrong. He wishes Cody all the best and they shake hands…as Randy Orton’s music hits, bringing out the Viper himself. Orton makes his way to the ring as some in the crowd sing along with his theme. He confronts Cody about their upcoming Last Man Standing match at Crown Jewel.

He says Cody isn’t ready to deal with a man who calls himself the last man standing. Look at how he came up and who he came up with. Guys like Lesnar and Cena are gone, but he’s still here. He is not worried about being a movie star or having sponsors. He is a third-generation professional wrestler. He addresses having his back broken years ago and having the best surgeon fix him up, and says that if his back is broken again he will get WWE to pay that surgeon once again.

He acknowledges the match he had against Dusty Rhodes, essentially retiring Cody’s father that night. There is plenty you can call Orton–including the Rhodes Killer, if you’d like–but if Cody’s American Dream is to be just like his father, Randy can make sure that dream comes true at Crown Jewel.

Orton’s music plays.

Backstage: Adam Pearce, Bayley, Jde Cargill, B-Fab, Michin

Backstage, Bayley starts to talk to Adam Pearce about her future when they are interrupted by Jade Cargill and her amazing baddies. They run down Bayley who walks off as Raw rolls on.

Six-Man Tag Team Match
The Vision (Austin Theory, “Big” Bronson Reed, & Bron Breakker) vs. Penta, Je’Von Evans & Dragon Lee

The Vision rush at their opponents to start things off, with Evans and Theory officially being the first two to compete. Theory gets sent to the corner but fights back Je’Von before making the tag to Reed, who lands a senton on Evans before Bron gets the tag. Penta with an assist allows Dragon Lee to get the tag, and he and Penta fend off Theory and Reed with a dive as we go to commercial break.

Vision maintains control as Theory goes after Dragon, only to run into a boot by the luchador. Tag made to Bron Breakker, as Reed misses a senton when Lee rolls out of the way…before making a tag to Penta! He sends Reed and Theory out of the ring before laying out an approaching Breakker for a nearfall.

Bron starts to fight back before Penta lands a thrust kick, and a tag to Evans leads to a double-team for a close two count by Je’Von. Chaos ensues as all six men go at it, leading to a powerslam by Reed on Dragon only to take a thrust kick by Penta…who gets laid out by Breakker! Bron goes for a spear on Evans, who dodges him as Breakker collides with the ring post instead.

On the apron we see Logan Paul trying to hand Theory the MITB briefcase, only for Penta to stop him. He ends up running into a running tackle from Reed, but he takes a dive from Evans who gets back in the ring. Red Dot connects on Theory, but he dodges an OG Cutter before setting the Young OG up for a spear by Breakker who picks up the win!

Winner: The Vision via Pinfall.

The group celebrates ahead of their World Tag Team Championship match against Evans and Penta at Crown Jewel.

Solo Sikoa vs. Royce Keys

Back at ringside, Solo Sikoa makes his entrance for our main event of the evening. Will this match get a finish, or yet another no contest? We’ll find out when we come back!

Back at ringside, we await the arrival of Royce Keys. He is accompanied by Jaida Parker as he heads to the ring, with his “music” only being the sound of dogs barking and police sirens. He even has day cops acting as security on his way out, and he enters the ring to stare down Sikoa as this match gets underway!

Solo stares him right back down before locking up, with Keys forcing Solo into the corner. He keeps at it until Sikoa turns things around. He goes to the ropes but gets dropped by Royce. Solo fires back to force Royce to take a breather on the outside. Keys comes back into the ring, where he lays some more shots in on Solo before taking him to the corner…only for Sikoa to turn it around before sending him out of the ring as we go to picture-in-picture!

Picture-in-Picture: Solo goes after Royce on the outside but this leads to Keys beating him down, sending Solo into the barricade before propping him up on the apron for some more damage. Sikoa rolls into the ring as Royce follows him. He hits Solo some more before landing a running splash for two. Chin lock applied by Royce, and Solo starts to fight back before Keys brings him back down as we come back from break.

Royce with some more shots, either his choice of words or the fact this feed’s been weird leading to a brief muting of audio before the sound returns just as Keys gets a nearfall. He sends Solo to the corner for a lariat, followed by a running splash. He mocks the fans before charging one more time, but Solo gets out of the way before we get a double down.

Both men make it to their feet as Solo sends Keys to the corner. He goes for a hip attack but gets laid out with a running shoulder block by Royce…only for Sikoa to send him back to the corner to connect with the hip attack after all! He looks for a Samoan Spike but gets dropped with a spinebuster that gets Royce a two count. He brings Sikoa to the corner, mocking him and the fans before Solo fights back on the turnbuckle.

Royce dropped to the mat for an Uso Splash, and Solo looks for the Spike again…when 946 come out to the ring to attack Solo! Ref calls for the bell, and I’m going to assume this is a No Contest until I see word from WWE otherwise lol.

Winner: Solo Sikoa via Disqualification.

Solo escapes the ring, where he smiles knowing that his family is coming out here. Roman and The Usos make their way down and the Bloodline enters the ring for a standoff with the 946. The two groups talk a lot of smack and stand for what feels like forever…before they finally start brawling! Ring clears out aside from Roman and Royce, with Royce taking a Superman Punch from the OTC.

He keeps the rest of 946 away before looking for a spear…only to have a masked man appear in the ring, throwing a chair in his face! The masked stranger helps Keys to his feet and they stand over Roman as the man reveals himself as…Cruz Montana!?

The rest of 946 join in on a beatdown on the World Heavyweight Champion, even after Jimmy tries to intervene. He gets handcuffed to the ropes by Parker as they stomp away at him. They go back to attacking Reigns before leaving the ring, where they go after Solo.

Jey tries to help his brother out, but they can send him through the announce table before returning to the ring for some more damage on Roman. Finally satisfied with what they’ve done, 946 make their exit through the crowd. Reigns struggles to get to his feet as Sami Zayn comes running into the ring…where he catches Reigns in the corner with a Helluva Kick! We see the wreckage in and around the ring as Sami shouts down at the OTC to bring Raw to a close.
