Hardy Injury Update, HHH ‘Injury’ Storyline, Cena/Big Show Feud
As noted earlier today here on the website, it is believed Matt Hardy suffered his broken right hand during the table spot at the finish when his brother Jeff Hardy jumped off the ladder at Backlash last night. As noted earlier, Hardy is expected to be out of action for the next four to six weeks. The index finger on his right hand was said to be pretty messed up after the match. WWE.com is also reporting that Hardy broke his second metacarpal in his right hand requiring him to wear a cast.
The backstage word is that after last night, Triple H will be kept off television for a while to sell the injury angle.
John Cena is set to have a feud with The Big Show.
John Cena, Triple H & Jeff Hardy vs. Edge, Randy Orton & Matt Hardy was the scheduled dark-match main event for the SmackDown! tapings in Madison Square Garden tomorrow night. With the real injury to Matt Hardy, the storyline injury to Triple H and John Cena taking time off, you can expect that to be changed.
