Major Names Backstage At The HOF, Candice/’Mania Update, More

In an update on Candice Michelle, she was telling those who asked at the WrestleMania Axxess session on the Friday that she would not be working the Miss WrestleMania 25 Diva Battle Royal due to her injured ankle. She was seen in a boot at the event and didn’t stand up much to pose with fans.

The WWE website has posted footage from backstage at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony last night. Among those spotted include Diamond Dallas Page (who turns 53 years old today), Mickey Rourke, Billy Kidman, and Tito Santana.

In a feature story with the Chicago Tribune, CM Punk discussed his passion for professional wrestling. “I never wanted to be an astronaut,” Punk said. “I can’t remember ever wanting to be a fireman. I always wanted to wrestle.” Punk also recalled his first night as World Heavyweight Champion: “I had my career flash before my eyes,” he said. “It made all sacrifice and every single [thing] I missed worth it.” He also explained that his night ended in a hotel room with the title belt. “It was kind of a lonely thing,” he said. “My night always ends in a hotel room by myself.
