The Great Khali was written off of television via injury angle at Tuesday night’s SmackDown taping in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, which is scheduled for airing this Friday. “The Punjabi Playboy” will be taking an indefinite leave of absence due to upcoming knee surgery.
In the storyline, Kane hit Khali over the head with the ring bell, then destroyed his left leg with the metal steps. He was taken out of the arena on a stretcher.
Kane defeated Khali in a Singapore Cane match at this past Sunday’s Breaking Point pay-per-view.
