The early WWE SummerSlam 2009 PPV buyrate estimated by WWE according to their official WWE Corporate website is 375,000-380,000. With the figure being an early estimate, the official number could always come in higher. Comparatively, SummerSlam 2008 last year drew 500,000 PPV buys.
As we reported previously, WWE confirmed that the main event of the upcoming “Bragging Rights” PPV will be a tag-team match comprised of all the winning RAW wrestlers from earlier in the night against all of the winning SmackDown! wrestlers from earlier in the night. John Cena vs. Randy Orton in an Iron Man match also takes place on the show.
