— WWE has a few ideas in mind for Wade Barrett as there was talk of having the NXT winner team up with mentor Chris Jericho to go after the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship. There has also been talk of having Barrett face R-Truth or Kofi Kingston for their respective titles.

— Jeff Hardy’s trial was set to begin this morning at the The Superior Court of Moore County in Carthage, NC before Judge James M. Webb. He is facing charges of felony possession of cocaine, felony drug trafficking of opium, two counts of felony possession with intent to redistribute a Schedule III controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling for drug use and/or distribution and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, stemming from a September 2009 arrest at his home. No updates are available yet as to what transpired in court today.

— Former WWE Diva Katie Lea Burchill is set to work the WWC Aniversario 2010 shows on July 9th, 10th, and 11th. Scott Steiner, AAA’s El Mesias, Tommy Dreamer, Carlito (maybe?), Primo, Shelton Benjamin, and Tony Atlas are also set for the shows.
