— Mick Foley, Jay Lethal and Kurt Angle are heading to India on a 6-day promotional tour, starting July 16, to promote TNA iMPACT! on TV in the country. Details are available at TNAWrestling.com.
— The teenaged fan who ran into the ring during last night’s iMPACT! tapings and raised Mr. Anderson’s arm prior to Anderson being attacked by Matt Morgan did not affect the angle. Sources say the rest of it ran according to plan and the angle will not be reshot.
— Carlito recently did an interview for Puerto Rican TV, in Spanish, about his desire to leave WWE and how he hid his depression by taking painkillers. He said he had asked for his release several times over the last year as his contract was up in 2011. During the last year he just gave up, believing he was not being used properly. He said that WWE is great if you are being used right, but “sucks if you are not.” Carlito admitted to taking painkillers but said most wrestlers do. He added that he was upset with his father, WWC promoter and legend Carlos Colon, for talking about his drug usage without checking with him first. Carlito said he doesn’t believe he has issues with pills, but towards the end of his WWE career he was taking them to mask his depression. When asked about an angle involving Savio Vega, who said on Puerto Rican TV that Carlito was a heroin user, Carlito said that Savio was upset because Carlito was bigger in WWE than he was. He went on to say that he had been contacted by “all the wrestling companies so far,” but right now he was taking some time to recover. He said that Primo, who is still in WWE, was happy right now and that Carlito would not try and influence him over whether or not to stay there. He finished up by saying that he felt foolish for the last two years in WWE with all the comedy skits he was doing.
