— The following is a report of what happened when the Impact tapings concluded last night. Thanks to Michael Spears for this recap: I was able to make yesterday’s Impact tapings and have a few more notes on the Beer Bash in the ring at the Impact Zone following the Rob Van Dam & Tommy Dreamer vs. Abyss & Raven match. Those who took part were Tommy Dreamer, Rob Van Dam, Stevie Richards, Rhino, the Sandman, Brother Ray, Brother D’Von, Jerry Lynn, Mick Foley, Al Snow, Pat Kenney, and Hulk Hogan. The Sesame Street song “One of these things is not like the other” came into mind! They played Metallica’s version of Enter Sandman, which seemed to surprise some of the ECW alums in the ring. Brother Ray and Brother D’Von led the crowd in singing Enter Sandman. So Cal Val was called into the ring where Dreamer did his “pour beer on the hot chick’s chest and drink it off” spot with her. One of the empty beer cans Sandman threw into the crowd landed in the hands of a young kid which popped Sandman and Brother Ray.
— The wrestlers who worked the tryout match last night at the iMPACT! tapings were Bobby Fish of EVOLVE and Northeastern independent worker Rob Eckos. Fish won the match.
