The Philadelphia Spectrum was torn down at noon today. The venue was the home for WWE events starting in 1974, when Bruno Sammartino defeating Killer Kowalski to retain the WWWF championship. They ran the venue until 1996, closing out the run with a house show. The WWE then moved to the Corestate Center, located next door to the Spectrum, to run their events.
