— Verne Langdon, who owned the Slammers Wrestling Gym in California, has passed away at the age of 69. The Slammers Wrestling Gym is said to have spawned a number of careers in the wrestling business, including WWF, WCW and TNA Creative team member Ed Ferrara. Our condolences to the family, friends and fans of Mr. Langdon.
— New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced that they will be running the following dates in the US:
* May 13th: Rahway, New Jersey at the Rahway Rec Center
* May 14th: Brooklyn, New York – venue to be announced
* May 15th: Philadelphia, PA at the ECW Arena
— NJPW will be working with Jersey All Pro wrestling. The partnership was announced last year, and Jushin “Thunder” Liger has appeared on a number of JAPW event and also won their Light Heavyweight Title. Announced for the tour so far are New IWGP champion Hiroshi Tanahashi, IWGP Junior Heavyweight champion Prince Devitt, Gedo, Jado, Jushin “Thunder” Liger, and Tiger Mask IV.
