— As noted, Donna Goldsmith, Chief Operating Officer of World Wrestling Entertainment, announced this week she would be leaving the organization effective Feb. 28. The official notice reads as follows: Change in Directors or Principal Officers – Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers. (b) Effective February 28, 2011, Donna N. Goldsmith will leave her positions as Director and Chief Operating Officer of WWE and pursue other interests. She will receive severance benefits as described in the Company’s Definitive Proxy Statement on Schedule 14A filed on March 17, 2010.

— It was reported yesterday that Booker T canceled his scheduled appearance at this weekend’s New Orleans Comic Con. Though it has not been confirmed that former world champion will appear at tomorrow’s Royal Rumble, many people within WWE expect him to be on hand for the event.
