After the fight, Joe Rogan announced that Rashad Evans injured his knee in training, and would not be able to fight Shogun Rua at UFC 128 for the UFC Light Heavyweight Title. Rogan then informed Jones that the UFC was offering him the title fight, which he gladly accepted. UFC 128 takes place on March 19th in Newark, New Jersey at the Prudential Center.
