— At last night’s UFC 126 event, Jon Jones defeated Ryan Bader via second round submission. After the fight, Joe Rogan announced that Rashad Evans injured his knee in training, and would not be able to fight Shogun Rua at UFC 128 for the UFC Light Heavyweight Title. Rogan then informed Jones that the UFC was offering him the title fight, which he gladly accepted. UFC 128 takes place on March 19th in Newark, New Jersey at the Prudential Center.
BREAKING UPDATE: Dana White confirmed at the UFC 126 post fight presser that Rashad Evans suffered a sprained ligament in his knee. He had it looked at in New Mexico this week. He’ll be out 6-8 weeks and they are hoping he won’t need surgery. This is a big deal.
