A state representative of Connecticut is now saying that the WWE is attempting to block legislation that would legalize and regulate MMA in the state.
Connecticut is currently one of only four states where MMA is banned, and WWE is being accused of trying to keep things that way.
A representative of the company, Robert Zimmerman denied it, saying WWE was “not opposed to this or anything else the state wants to do with regards to sports or entertainment.”
This also comes on the heels of UFC’s Dana White turning down Vince McMahon to have Brock Lesnar appear at WrestleMania. It’s interesting to say the least.
