Various News: UWF’s First PPV + DG:USA Updates, More

Tomorrow and all through this week, the Urban Wrestling Federation will be filming various vignettes in the New York City area, in preparation for First Blood, their debut PPV taping on June 3 at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

The three-hour PPV will air on Sunday June 26 at 8pm with an 11pm replay. The matches already announced are as follows:

First Round of the UWF Title Tournament

– Homicide vs. Eddie Kingston.
– Rich (formerly Ricky) Ortiz vs. Rashe Brown.
– Facade vs. Bestia 666.
– Slyck Wagner Brown vs. Ricky Reyes.

The four winners go into a four-way match, where the winner becomes the inaugural UWF Champion.

Other matches confirmed for the taping include:

– The SAT vs. Lance Lude & Brian XL.
– Willie Mack vs. Sabian vs. Famous B vs. Scorpio Sky.

On June 3, Dragon Gate USA will make its first appearance in Revere, MA on Internet PPV. The Wonderland Ballroom will host the following matches:

– Open The United Gate champions PAC & Masato Yoshino vs. YAMATO & Akira Tozawa.
– Austin Aries vs. Johnny Gargano.
– CIMA & Brodie Lee vs. Chuck Taylor & Rich Swann.
– Masaaki Mochizuki vs. Sami Callihan.
– Ricochet vs. Susumu Yokosuka.
– Four Way Freestyle: AR Fox vs. Arik Cannon vs. Scott Reed vs. Tony Nese.
Also appearing are Jon Davis and Reby Sky.

The promotion will then have their latest InDemand PPV taping in Deer Park, Long Island at the NYWC Sportatorium. The matches there will include:

– Freestyle: PAC vs. Ricochet vs. Chuck Taylor
– Four Way Freestyle: YAMATO vs. CIMA vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Masato Yoshino
– Eight Way Freestyle: Caleb Konley vs. Flip Kendrick vs. Jon Davis vs. Louis Lyndon vs. Pinkie Sanchez vs. Rich Swann vs. Sami Callihan vs. Scott Reed
– Masaaki Mochizuki vs. Arik Cannon
– Austin Aries vs. Susumu Yokosuka
– Akira Tozawa vs. AR Fox
– Brodie Lee vs. Tony Nese

Before the DGUSA taping begins, the New York Wrestling Connection will have a series of matches as well.

– Ryan Rush & Papadon vs. Apollyon & Stockade
– John Silver vs. Alex Reynolds
– Pat Buck vs. Kieran

Finally, DGUSA will complete their second-anniversary with another appearance at B.B. Kings in New York City. This will be broadcast live on Internet PPV on WWNLive, and it will feature the following matches:

– YAMATO vs. PAC for the DGUSA Title.
– CIMA, Austin Aries & Brodie Lee vs. Chuck Taylor, Johnny Gargano & Rich Swann in an Elimination Match.
– Ricochet vs. Masato Yoshino.
– Masaaki Mochizuki & Susumu Yokosuka vs. Sami Callihan & Arik Cannon.
– AR Fox vs. Pinkie Sanchez.
– The first-ever NYC Fray featuring Royal Rumble-like entrances and eliminations only by pinfall, DQ and submission.
